𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧
This is an antique haori with a striking design and color scheme. It is a "Naga-haori," which is a long-length haori, longer than a standard haori. Before World War II, longer lengths were more common, while shorter lengths became the mainstream after the war. This haori, while likely not from the pre-war era, is still quite old, probably around 60-70 years old. Considering its age, it is in very good condition. There are some stains on the surface and small black spots on the lining (please refer to the photos), which are due to age and the marks from needle holes after restitching; they are not sweat stains or mold. The large shibori (tie-dye) pattern is very impressive. The floral motif is likely chrysanthemums.

Chrysanthemums have been beloved flowers for a long time. Their vivid colors and round, radial shape from the center have been likened to the sun and are considered to be among the highest-ranking flowers. They are also used in the Imperial crest, making them a very noble flower. Since ancient times, chrysanthemums have been considered auspicious flowers that ward off evil, and they are symbols of good health and longevity.

All the kimonos I handle are pre-owned. While the condition of items on the market varies, I carefully select only from stores where I personally inspect and touch each piece to ensure they are in good condition, with beautiful patterns and colors, and made of quality fabric.
After purchase, I sometimes discover minor stains, spots or scratches, but if the item is still perfectly wearable, these details are clearly noted in the description. Stains and spots may be due to age or wear, which is also documented. Please feel free to message me with any questions, or if you have specific requests for what you're looking for.

・Ironing it on a medium-high setting. Garments may also be steamed in a moderate setting.
