Carhartt Michigan Chore Coat

This edition of the Carhartt Michigan Chore Coat is made from durable black aged cotton canvas and is unlined to suit wear throughout the warmer months. The front is fastened by circular black metal buttons customized with ‘Carhartt’ lettering which lead to a neat collar neckline and on either side of the chest two shaped patch pockets have been added for storage of essential items, one with a square woven Carhartt label added on top and another with a flap closure secured by a single button. At the waist two larger patch pockets are also available and every compartment has bar tack stitching on either side of the entrance for strength. Triple top stitching can be seen across this chore coat for longevity, including around the armholes and across the sleeve seam which then opens into the double button secured cuffs. The body has a straight cut hem for a clean finish.

The Michigan Chore Coat has become one of Carhartt’s best loved outerwear designs and is refreshed each season in a variety of colourways and fabrics. Inspired by classic utilitarian designs, a focus on practicality and durability is noticeable throughout each edition with triple stitched seams, bulk free pockets and various linings that suit the changing weather. Since 1994 Carhartt has been developing their WIP line by incorporating elements from the original family owned Detroit Carhartt label and contemporary streetwear influences.
